The Red Sox are hitting lustily, playing sparkling defense, pitching well, and winning. They have MLB's best record in June. Despite all that, they have picked up only 1/2 game on their eternal, implacable foes. Here, Red Sox 3B Rafael Devers lines an RBI single to right in the top of the 7th in Cleveland Sunday off Guardians LHP Tanner Tully to drive in C Christian Vazquez with the Sox' 6th run in Boston's 7th consecutive win. The brilliant, joyous Devers, .334-17-45, is 3rd in MLB batting, while his teammates Xander Bogaerts (.330) and JD Martinez ((.329) are 4th and 5th respectively.
